When you come to Gateway, you can’t help but notice the team of parking lot attendants, greeters, and ushers all dressed in deep navy blue. These men and women prepare the house, set the atmosphere, and help pave the way into the presence of the Lord.
The Armorbearers open the doors of the church, heat the building, assist in prayer lines, and receive the offering, but they are so much more than traditional ushers. Our Armorbearers are servants who assist in outreach ministry, provide pastoral care to the church family, and protect the flow of the anointing from the parking lot to the altar. One man testifies of sitting in the Gateway Believers Fellowship parking lot and contemplating suicide. As he was sitting in his car, one of the Armorbearers noticed that he looked depressed, went over to his car and prayed with him. With his hope restored, the man recognized that God had a plan for his life and that he had the opportunity here at Gateway to grow in a safe place.
Gateway Armorbearers have been recognized internationally and have had the privilege of assisting Benny Hinn, Bobbie Jean Merck, and Bishop Tony Miller in many crusades. If you are a born-again, spirit-filled believer with a willingness to serve others, you would be a great fit in the Armorbearer ministry. Drop by the information desks in the foyer to find out how to register for the Armorbearer training class.
