Larry and Lisa have been with Apostle David since the beginning. They were members of Word of Life Christian Center when he was the Pastor there in 1985, and were married by him in July 1986. They have three wonderful children who have all been reared under the Apostolic ministry and serve here at GBF. Their eldest, Elyse Muse, serves as a teacher in GUTS. Joshua is the drummer on the Praise Team, serves in the Transportation Ministry, and teaches in Kingdom Kids. Nathaniel, still in his teens, teaches in Kingdom Kids, serves with the Armor Bearers, and works in the Transportation Ministry.

Originally from Sacramento, CA, Larry moved to Georgia in 1975. Lisa is a Georgia girl through and through. She was born in Athens and moved to Franklin County in 1972. The Brannen family enjoys camping and gardening. Larry has a degree in landscape architecture and Lisa teaches special needs and ELL students here in Franklin County. Both of the Brannens have been back to college several times, and Lisa is currently in school again working on her Specialist Degree in Education.

The Brannens have served at Gateway in various capacities over the years. Currently, they drive one of the van routes for the Transportation Ministry, help with the Armor Bearer ministry as needed, and serve as the elders over the Greeter Team, which they have been part of from its conception.
