Vernon and Barbara have been married for 45 years, and have four children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. All of their children and grandchildren are serving the Lord with all their heart. Vernon and Barbara are charter members of Gateway, not only in the natural but in the spirit. They have known Apostle David since 1970, the year that he was supernaturally arrested by the Spirit, which is also their spiritual birth-year.
Throughout the years, they have served in every area of ministry here at Gateway. Presently, they are the bishops over Gateway Transport, fulfilling the mandate by the Spirit for Gateway to “Go get the children”. Vernon also currently serves on the Praise Team as a sound engineer while Barbara runs the Bookstore and serves on the Board of Directors for Faith Christian Fellowship, Inc.
Outside of Gateway, Vernon and Barbara have an entrepreneurial gift that has seen them own and operate several successful businesses over the years. Their current business endeavors include owning and working a thriving poultry operation and managing several rental properties. They are called to minister in finance for the Kingdom and God has blessed them in their endeavors
